Full sized replica spitfire

Learn
Caissons

In the waters just outside Castletown D-Day Centre sit the last intact Phoenix Caissons from Mulberry B (Arromanches). These made up temporary portable harbours, developed to facilitate the rapid offloading of cargo onto beaches during the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944.

Atop these are our six D-Day statues representing two British sailors, two dockyard workers and two American GIs.

Learn
Nazi Bunker

Located above our motor pool of military vehicles, the Nazi bunker contains a collection of authentic Nazi artefacts including battle-scarred flag and German weaponry. Take a look down the scope at the beaches of Normandy and witness the invasion from the other perspective.

Immersive audio system

The D-Day Centre features impressive surround sound, offering our visitors a truly immersive wartime experience. Whether you are trying on uniforms, climbing inside vehicles, or exploring the Nazi bunker, our audio system helps you get a taste of what many experienced on D-Day.
